About Africa CACS 2018

Computer Audit, Control and Security (CACS) conference is an annual event organized by ISACA through the various chapters across the world and brings together compliance, risk, governance, security and assurance professionals from across various industries. Since the separation of the Africa region from Europe in 2015, Africa has hosted 2 successful CACS events in Kenya and Ghana respectively. This year, Africa CACS will be held in Lusaka, Zambia from the 22nd to 23rd October, 2018 at the Radisson Blu Hotel under the theme, Building Business Resilience in a Digitally Connected World. The conference aims not only to provide participants with an opportunity to establish professional networks but to also share practical knowledge and to foster a better understanding of emerging risks, information technology governance and control practices.

Topics to be covered which include, Cyber resilience: Effective incident response, Using Data analytics to enhance the value of IT audits, Cloud security controls, Addressing consumer rights to privacy will be delivered by industry experts from within Africa and beyond. A She-leads seminar and COBIT 5 foundation Pre-conference workshop and will be held at the same venue on the following dates:

  • COBIT 5 Foundation certificate – 20th to 21st October 2018


The topics to be presented at this year’s CACS have been carefully crafted to address current global trends in the Information Systems management such as compliance with data protection laws, responding to cyber security incidents and cloud security issues. These topics will be presented by both local and International experienced speakers in the field of IT Audit , Governance, Control and Security.
